Your questions about moving pods

I'm using a POD to move cross country...how should I ship my 10 framed posters?
I'm not sure how to wrap them.
I'm not sure how to wrap them.
Mr Mover answers:
I worked for a picture framing shop and shipped many pictures. If you are shipping them via a carrier, take them to a UPS store and have them pack them for you. They custom cut a box, bubble wrap the entire piece and fill the box with styrofoam peanuts. I never had one break in 7 years.
If you are taking them in your car or vehicle, lay them flat on the front so the glass is resting on the front of the frame. Wrap them in towels, bubble wrap, blankets etc. and make sure the glass is supported.
Another thing that many people forget is that sometimes the frame gets tweaked or twisted and pops the corners open so make sure they are on a soft surface and packed in tightly wherever they are!
my car is overheating while sitting still at traffic lights etc, but when moving its fine..whats the problem?
the is a weird clicking noise near the alternator while the engine is overheating when idling after the engine is fully warmed up.. but when i start to drive again, it drops back to ideal temperature...i have a pod filter connected to the throttle body instead of the normal air filter? but have only started having problems recently..any help greatly appreciated
Mr Mover answers:
I am not a professional mechanic, but maybe my personal experience with my cars will help you.
1) Check the fluid level when the engine is cold. The fluid should be all the way to the top when cold. If fluid doesn't stay full to the top then read suggestion #2
2) Do a pressure check of the cooling system. Also check the radiator cap to be certain that it is holding pressure. It is very important that moderate pressure build inside the radiator to fscilitate the transfer of heat from the fluid to the air.
3) Check the fan clutch to see if it is defective, because a defective fan clutch will allow an engine to overheat while idling since it will not turn the fan fast enough to cool the engine. This may be the reason that the temperature drops when the car moves since the air is forced through the radiator when you are traveling.
4) Check for a defective thermostat. A thermostat needs to regulate temperature precisely by opening when the engine heats up and closing when the engine cools down. If it is stuck in the open position, this can cause overheating while the car is sitting still. Make certain that the thermostat has the proper heat rating for your car model.
5) If all the above check out, you may simply need a new radiator if the fluid flowing through it is being restricted because of corrosion and chemical deposits.
6) Oh!, and last but not least; Be certain that your engine has proper lubrication, because an engine which is low on oil will overheat.
I need a FOOL-PROOF way of moving everything on i-pod to itunes?
Well I, like most people, have had computer failures. All my songs and videos are on my i-pod, but ZERO are on i-tunes. That needs to change, I googled ways to move songs from ipod to itunes, and followed the directions that a few sites had the same, but all I did there was almost delete everything on my i-pod and delete the useless songs i had on this itunes.
Is there any way at all that is guarunteed to move my songs and videos from my i-pod to itunes without deleting anything and without all the confusing "itl xml file from folder do3egh893 to subfolder go489y and erase consolidate itunes library" crap.
I have a habit of going on too long, but basically, move songs and videos from ipod to itunes, anyone?
What is a more cost effective way to move?
I'm graduating from college and moving cross-country. I only have one bedroom worth of stuff to move, but it's so pricey to do so. A U-Haul is going to cost around $1500 just for the rental. Auto rental companies won't let me use a hitch on their vehicles. PODS wants to charge about $3500. Traveling with someone already going my way isn't an option. What can I do? (Yes, I'm also in the process of selling some of the bigger stuff like my bed and such.)
Mr Mover answers:
Consider liquidating everything and purchasing new stuff when you get from coast-to-coast. you could put your clothes and maybe even computer in the back seeat of the car you are taking and the extra 1000-2000 from selling the rest of the stuff and purchase the replacements...chances are, the loss in buying new and selling old won't be as much as the U-Haul (depending on the stuff we are talking about here) Further, alot of elders would recommend the pyschology of sheddign some of your past possesions to start anew, in a new place, with a new job.
Secondly thinking, you might want to look exactly how much stuff you do have...if it all fits into 2 or 3 sizable boxes you could UPS or FedEx it to yourself, sell the car and fly to where you are going and again, start anew.
I moved my I-pod to another computer and another house, how do I put songs on it without deleting what I have?
Okay.... I have I tunes up and running but I can't figure out how to put more songs into my i-pod.... I don't have my library from the other house/computer, so I was wondering if there was any way to upload my music from the i-pod to create a library or if i can simply add my music straight to the thing.
