Looking down on the ballast, the bulb connections on your right side, the power connections are on the left side of the ballast.

The first post is the hot.

The second post is the neutral.

The third post is ground.

Agreed, but on the power side (lower left side) the connections are stacked. So taking your directions 1st post is top (hot), 2nd is middle (neutral) and 3rd is bottom (ground)? Sorry what does HTH stand for? I purchased the retro kit from one of the site sponsors, waiting to hear back from them on the missing installation instructions. Where did you find the instructions?
